February Challenge

Hello again, it came to my attention that I hadn't even put up the challenge cards for February, so I thought it was about time I put them here for you all to see.

February's challenge was a Bingo card. So you had 9 squares and each square had a technique or an embellishment in it. You had to choose 3 in a line and place those 3 things on your card. So you may have had for example, a stamp, pearls and a die cut...something like that.

The winner in the Beginner/Intermediate section was
Shirley
with this really cute Easter Egg card.

In the Advanced section
Maralene
was the winner with this lovely pink/grey/white combination.

Well done to both of you and congratulations on picking up your $20 voucher.

Also in the beginners section was this lovely card from Jean P.
Well done Jean.

In the Advanced section we also had these beauties...

Sketchy Paint Spills

In the last edition of Australian Simply Cards I had a coffee break feature. In this feature was this simple stamped card. It has been a very popular card, I guess partly for it's simplicity and partly for it's versatility. I really can be used for any gender and any age group just by swapping some colours.  Here is how I made this card - for those who may have missed the magazine. Instructions 1.         Cut an A4 sheet of white cardstock in half at 14.8cm x 21cm .   2.       Score and fold in half at 10.5cm. 3.       Cut another piece of white smooth cardstock to 14.3cm x 10cm . 4.       Stamp the sentiment with the Versafine ink in the bottom right corner. 5.       Stamp the various paint spills and drips with the coloured inks, to your liking. 6.       Die cut the Sketchy Rings fro...
