I have given myself a hard challenge too, picking the card for the encouragement award. It is getting so hard to choose as there are just so many lovely cards to choose from. In the end I decided on Glenda’s Tilda and Snowman card.

Congratulations Glenda, it’s a lovely card and a lot of work in the colouring and textures.

Colours of Autumn   The challenge for May is colours of Autumn. I love Autumn in the UK where I grew up, with all the crispy leaves on the ground and bare trees. I do miss that, as we just don't get it here in QLD (although I don't miss the cold LOL). So with that in mind, I thought it would make a good challenge...those gorgeous colours of autumn...oranges, yellows, greens and browns. It doesn't have to be an autumn themed card, just those colours. Just for Mother's Day

I am miles behind with posting some of the cards we've been making so I'm going to try and make an effort to catch up over the next week or so. To start with here is a card we made for Mother's Day. I got the inspiration from the 3D picture, which I felt would look good as two separate components on the card. The one on the inside of the card is the base image and the one of the front is the rest of the image made up into a 3D. I also gave my students the option of making this a birthday card, for those who don't have a Mum anymore or who had already made a Mother's Day card. I printed the verses on the computer for the girls.
