October Competition

Ok, last one for today I promise. Seeing as we're half way through October, I thought I had better pull my finger out and announce the theme for the October competition. The theme this month is "VINTAGE". For your card or project you want to make something that has an "old" look to it. You can do this by creating distressed edges, by simply inking or just using old looking pictures on your card or project. This card that we made in class early in the year is an example of what I mean by vintage. I know a lot of the ladies that come to my class don't do vintage cards by why not give it a go? Have some fun - distressing cards can be a lot of fun :) TO ENTER: Simply make a card, scrapbooking page or other project following the theme and give it to me, email me a picture or a link to your project. The winner will be drawn on November 1st and don't worry, I won't be judging, it will be someone who is impartial who will not know who mad...

September Competition winner

Sorry for the delay in posting the winner of the last competition. It has been crazy busy around here! The winner for September was... PAM Pam made this beautiful vintage inspired card for our male swap. Both my kids picked out Pam's card as their favourite. This is the inside of Pam's card. Congratulations Pam and have fun spending your voucher :) Here are the rest of the cards that were entered. There were some wonderful entries and it was very hard to pick a winner. Maralene Dorothy Unknown (sorry I can't remember who gave me this one) Pat Pat Jenelle Jenelle Thanks to everyone for entering.

New Products

I also received my order from Holland today and in that order there are the Hobbyjournaal #79 magazines. Once again some gorgeous cards and projects and some especially nice embroidery patterns this month. There is a white house box made by Ellis Hendriks, which looks just stunning! At only $3 with a free 3D sheet, it's fantastic value - even if you can't read Dutch. I've also got some X-cut tools - spring scissors, fine tipped decoupage scissors (curved tip), knives and small rounded corner punches. And there are some great embossing folders and stamps from Papermania too. These are just $9.95 for the embossing folders and $14.85 for the stamps. There are a couple of other designs as well so why not pop in today to have a look. Again I only have limited quantities of these but can order more if you are interested. Thanks for stopping by today.
