Week 13 Card 1 - Blossom Two Doily

This week I designed a card around a brilliant idea one of my students showed me. The original that I saw was done with a different die, but I just love this one using the Spellbinders Blossom Two die. It's one of those Nestabilitie sets that I just "had to have" and then hardly every used..until I saw this idea. I just loved it and it uses so little card to make.

The papers that I decided to use are from Echo Park's Be Mine collection. I think the pink, grey and white combination works so well together. (Please excuse the photography).

The stamp is a free one that I picked up with a magazine but it and the rose and the pearls in the centre of the doily design really bling the card up a bit. It just needed that little something else...you know what I mean?

Oh and of course lets not forget the bow...

Sketchy Paint Spills

In the last edition of Australian Simply Cards I had a coffee break feature. In this feature was this simple stamped card. It has been a very popular card, I guess partly for it's simplicity and partly for it's versatility. I really can be used for any gender and any age group just by swapping some colours.  Here is how I made this card - for those who may have missed the magazine. Instructions 1.         Cut an A4 sheet of white cardstock in half at 14.8cm x 21cm .   2.       Score and fold in half at 10.5cm. 3.       Cut another piece of white smooth cardstock to 14.3cm x 10cm . 4.       Stamp the sentiment with the Versafine ink in the bottom right corner. 5.       Stamp the various paint spills and drips with the coloured inks, to your liking. 6.       Die cut the Sketchy Rings fro...
