Week 6

Card 1 - Sweet Little Girls

For week 6 we used lots of flowers! The colour in this photo isn't the best as it looks more cream rather than white. We used a combination of different cardstock and papers depending on the image from the 3D sheet. This one is a Reddy Die Cut 3D sheet from the Paintbox Poppets range.  I used a Spellbinders scalloped and standard circle and inked around the edges of all the papers.

For something different I put the happy birthday on with foam squares and glue in the middle to give it a wave effect. The stamp is from Just Rite.

This gorgeous ribbon border is from Marianne Designs and is part of the Creatables range. You can't really see the embossing aspect of it in this photo, but trust me it's gorgeous!! I'm having trouble getting these at the moment but hope to have some in stock soon.

Card 2 - Angled Easel Card

I loooove this card and it's so easy to make. I saw this idea online and decided to give it a go. It's just a square card with two score lines...how easy can you get?? I've used a Martha Stewart PAP punch set for the edges but if you don't have one you could just leave the edges plain.

A Just Rite Happy Birthday stamp layered onto lilac and purple card (attached with foam tape) holds the main image in place. Some flowers on the corner just add a bit of bling, and fill up an otherwise empty corner. I used purple card and mirri board behind the 3D image.

I coloured the flowers with a Copic marker to match the beautiful Jacaranda shade of purple used on the card.

The 3D is a Reddy Die cut  twin pack, and you get 4 different images on the sheet, plus a sheet full of the extra die cut pieces. All the images on this sheet are beautiful and I have them in stock at the moment.

Sketchy Paint Spills

In the last edition of Australian Simply Cards I had a coffee break feature. In this feature was this simple stamped card. It has been a very popular card, I guess partly for it's simplicity and partly for it's versatility. I really can be used for any gender and any age group just by swapping some colours.  Here is how I made this card - for those who may have missed the magazine. Instructions 1.         Cut an A4 sheet of white cardstock in half at 14.8cm x 21cm .   2.       Score and fold in half at 10.5cm. 3.       Cut another piece of white smooth cardstock to 14.3cm x 10cm . 4.       Stamp the sentiment with the Versafine ink in the bottom right corner. 5.       Stamp the various paint spills and drips with the coloured inks, to your liking. 6.       Die cut the Sketchy Rings fro...
