November Competition

Hi everyone. My apologies for posting this so late in the month but  I have been away as some of you  know. We had a lovely time down at Mylestom, just south of Coffs Harbour, for the National 3D archery Championships. A successful weekend too I might add with our daughter Krystal coming 3rd in QLD, my husband came 1st in QLD, 2nd at the Nationals and our son Jayden came 1st in QLD, 1st at the Nationals and got Shooter of the Year for his division. Needless to say we are very proud of both kids and I'm proud of hubby too. He was so close to 1st, but just a couple of silly mistakes made his miss out by just 8 points. Oh well, next year!!
Anyway, on to the competition...

The theme this month is
"BLUE & GREEN SHOULD NEVER BE SEEN"

It is an old saying that Blue and Green should never be seen. However there are some lovely papers around that combine the two colours beautifully. So this month your challenge is to make a card with co-ordinating blues and greens. You can add a bit of another colour as well if you want, as in the example shown.

This lovely card was made by design team member Jenelle, using the Kaisercraft Miss Nellie range. We're making this card in class this week.

TO ENTER:
Simply make a card, scrapbooking page or other project following the theme and give it to me, email me a picture or a link to your project. The winner will be drawn on December 1st and don't worry, I won't be judging, it will be someone who is impartial who will not know who made the cards/projects.

THE RULES:
The rules are very simple and are as follows:

The card/project must be your own design and made by you.
You can enter as many times as you like.
If you give me the card please put it in a plastic bag with no name on the card anywhere
All cards handed to me will be returned if possible after the competition
Entering the competition entitles me to publish a picture of your card/project on my blog.

THE PRIZE:
The winner will receive a $20 gift voucher to spend in the store.

Competition closes at midnight on Wednesday 31st November

I look forward to seeing your creations.
Good luck!

September Competition

SOMETHING OLD The theme for this competition was to make a card using something old. Something you bought years ago and you’ve never used or you haven’t used it in years. You know that thing you’ve had sitting in a drawer forever and you wonder if you’ll ever use it. I thought this would make for some interesting cards and it sure did! I have received 17 lovely entries into the competition this month and some by email as well It is hard to judge a card by looking at a print out of it, so I thought I would share all the cards online with you prior to voting this month. That way some of you will get to see a digital image of the cards first. A couple of them were really hard to photograph though, so it' works both ways. Some are better to judge face to face. Anyway, I’m not putting names on them and I’m not 100% sure that these are in the correct order but here are the cards that were entered. I’ll try to add what is old about them to give you a bit of an idea. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ...
