I had this card in my head for a long time before it actually hit my desk. I thought the birds 3D design would be perfect for the bird cage and also matched the papers really well. The papers are from Graphic 45’s A Ladies Diary collection. I made one of these boxes for Christmas and it was very popular, so after Christmas we made one in class. I changed the sentiment to Happy Birthday and I changed the flourishes as the others weren’t suitable. On the original box I used the Marianne Creatables Holly Flourish, this one uses another Marianne Creatables Flourish from the LR0116 Frame Die Set. It makes a great gift for someone when you just want to give them something small. I made the measurements specific to the Ferrero Rocher 3pk of chocolates, but you could adjust it to fit other size packs. Thanks for looking.  I thought I would just show you a birthday card that I made for one of my students this week. It's her birthday on Monday, but I gave her the card on Saturday, so don't worry I'm not spoiling the  surprise . Unfortunately the photos I took weren't the best, so they don't do it real justice. It turned out to be such a pretty card though and so easy to make too.  I embossed some smooth white cardstock with the Sizzix Thank You Set #5 embossing folder, and layered it onto a soft pink Bazzill cardstock. This was then layered onto a smooth white cardstock base. The stamp is from JustRite Stampers Large Fancy Sentiments. I just looove this stamp set!  The flowers were made using Spellbinders Blossom One and Bitty Blossoms . I used a technique that I picked up from Selma Stevenson's blog here . Marianne Designables DS0911 was used to make this card. I just love the Designables folders, they are so pretty and lend themselves to so many applications. The photo doesn't really do this card much justice as you can't see the gorgeous embossing very well. The cardstock is Bazzill Dotted Swiss and just a smooth white cardstock. The stamp is from JustRite Stampers and it's from the "You're So Sweet" set, which I still have available for a limited time.

Here are some more cards that we made back in June last year. This one is made using the Bo Bunny "Timepiece" collection. I just loooove these papers! A simple layered card with an organza bow and Le Suh 3D. This embroidered card was designed by my Mum, Patricia. As soon as the girls in class saw it there was lots of  "oohs and aahs" and I was asked if we could make it in class. It really is a beautiful card and the 3D came in a few different colours so there were some nice colour combinations. A week later we did this version of the card. Again in a variety of different colours. June was the anniversary of Evelyn Wilkinson's passing. I had the privilege of working with Evelyn and knew her for about 8 years. She was a huge influence on me and a great mentor. She was the one who told me that I could teach classes. Here are a few more cards that we've made. This first one is an anniversary card. The paper is from Pink Paislee and the inspiration for this one was the Nellie Snellen heart die. The 3D is from Le Suh and again I've used a Grommet Tag from Spellbinders. The stamp is from JustRite Stamps. I've inked the card with Versamagic Tea Leaves ink. This one was inspired by two cards that I saw using the (then) new Marianne's Designables. I took both ideas and combined them into my own design. I just LOVE these embossing folders - the designs are gorgeous and they look so elegant. This one is a simple black and white card made on pearl cardstock. The ladies head is a Marianne's Creatables die cut in white and then cut out of black card. I've added black and silver rhinestons to finish it off. Another one inspired by the Marianne's Designables and one of my favourite 3D's - Miniature ladies from Le Suh. New JustRite Stamps Just arrived this morning are the new JustRite stamps. These are the latest release stamps and they are beautiful. I have only got VERY limited quantities at the moment but if you would like a set and I don't have it then I can order it in for you. The Kaleidoscope Medallions and Grandma's Doilies are 3 1/4" circles and the Old Friends set are 2" circles. You will need the corresponding blocks to go with them to get the full use out of the stamps. These match with the Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments dies. 

I received a bunch of new 3D's in last week and among them was this King and Queen sheet from Le Suh that I thought would go perfectly with this DP from Echo Park. I layered it onto black Bazzill cs and then layered some Noel from Teresa Collins onto more black Bazzill cs. I've used black soot distress ink around the edges of the two designer papers and Vintage Photo distress ink around the 3D. I added a tag on the right side with a sentiment from Just Rite Stamps "Mini Everything Tag Set" and the gold accent is from Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Motifs. Thanks for stopping by 

Card 1 Well actually it wasn't a card we made this week it was a little handbag gift box. Very simple and easy to make with just one sheet of Bazzill Basics 12" x 12" card and some designer paper. One of my ladies (customers) had asked to make a handbag and one had asked to do a particular type of insert for a bag, so I combined the two. I did however give my ladies two options, a simple quick and easy one or the more involved and time consuming one. I was really surprised that most chose the second option but we did have a lot of fun putting them together. For this first one we used My Mind's Eye paper with glitter on one side in gorgeous browns and pinks. On the front we used some Spellbinders classic scalloped circles and classic standard circles to act as a clip to tuck the flap behind. The sentiment is a Just Rite stamp.
