Just Arrived Papers

A couple of new ranges of Kaisercraft paper have just arrived in store. Just in time for you to start on your Christmas cards. The new ranges have some beautiful designs. Here is just a small sample of them. This one is Silly Season and has a beautiful mix of bright greens, red and pinks. Lots of baubles, trees and reindeers in this collection.  This one is one of my favourites - December 25th. It has a distinct vintage appearance with the darker greens, reds and browns and lots of images of Santa. And this one is Miss Nelly. Some beautiful pinks, turqoise and reds in floral designs. All these papers are just $1.25 each with some specialty papers also available and I have a few of the 6.5" paper pads available for just $10.95. These have extra designs in them and also some die cuts. Great for card making with smaller versions of the 12" X 12" designs.

September Competition

Hello again,   Well it's time to announce a new competition. Last weekend was Father's Day here in Australia so with that in mind I have chosen the theme of a MALE CARD . So basically a card designed for a man. These are always tricky but we have made a few in class just recently. I hope you can all get your thinking caps on and come up with some fantastic designs again.     As an example this is one of the male themed cards that we made in class just recently for Father's Day. Remember though, you can't use a class card, you have to come up with your own idea. I know men's cards are hard but I hope that won't deter you. This competition is designed to challenge you so come on lets see what you can come up with :o)                   TO ENTER: Simply make a card, scrapbooking page or other project following the theme and give it to me, email me a picture or a link to your project. The winner wi...

And the winner is....... Shakerah!! Congratulations Shakerah. Your $20 store voucher is waiting for you :) Shakerah is 12 years old and made this fabulous teapot. The theme was die cuts or punching and Shakerah  used both on this project. The handle and base of the teapot are punched and the tag and roses are die cut. An amazing amount of work and effort and a well deserved win. Thank you to everyone who entered the competition. There were some fabulous cards entered and some fantastic designs. It was very hard to pick a winner with so many great cards to choose from. I wish I could choose more than one winner but there can be only one. Trinitage Box Workshop

I'm running a workshop for the above Trinitage Box this month. Designed by Jenelle Muller, it's a great little box for a birthday or even Christmas gift. You can combine a card and gift in one, with room in the drawer for a small present. Or you could simply use it as storage. If you eliminate the top section, you could stack a few drawers together and have a nice little storage solution for flowers, ribbons or dies and have it sitting on your work space. Details for the workshop are as follows: Dates: Thursday 18 th August – 9:30am – 1pm Sunday 28 th August – 9:30am – 1pm Cost - $25 Bookings are essential as places are limited. Please email me kookacft@bigpond.com to book your place. Tea, Coffee & Biscuits will be available for morning tea & sandwiches supplied for lunch. If you are unable to attend in person but would like a kit please contact me and I can arrange a kit to be posted to you. I will even post overseas for the cost of the kit plus a smal...

Congratulations

It's taken me a while to get this photo off my phone and it's not the best picture I'm afraid, but I just wanted to say a big congratulations to Dorothy. Dorothy is one of my customers who took one of our class cards and altered it, did her own thing with it and entered her card into the recent Woodford show. Dorothy won 1st prize with this card in the "punched card" section and when you see it in person you can see why. It's just gorgeous! Well done Dorothy :)

August competition

Hi  everyone, There are so many beautiful dies coming out on the market now and they are so hard to resist! Every time I turn around there are new ones coming out and the card samples that showcase them are so gorgeous that of course you have to have every single one!!! So many dies, so many cards to make...so little time!     So this months competition is going to be a card or project using a die or lots of dies. I know most of us have Cuttlebugs and Big Shots these days, but there are some who don't, so if you wish you may also make a card using a punch. Or else come and see me and I'll gladly die cut some shapes for you to make your card :) I can't wait to see what you all come up with!   To get you interested and to get you thinking about what you can do, here is a stunning card that my design team member Jenelle made for us last week. This is just to show you what sort of thing you can do for your card or project.     TO ENTER: Simply...
