August Challenge - Acetate

Congratulations to our winners for the August challenge.

The challenge this month was acetate and it was a bit tricky, but the cards that were entered were all great. So many different ways to use acetate.

Maralene won the People's Choice prize for her lovely easel card.

Maralene used an Amy Design die for the top section of this card and the new Sue Wilson Christmas Rose for the flowers and leaves.

Lyn recieved the Judge's Choice prize for her lovely embossed sticker card.

It's a bit hard to see in the photo but Lyn applied Stickles all over the embossed area and has added glitter behind the red sticker in the centre.

I don't often have or mention personal favourites but this is my personal favourite - just because of the style and colours, but also I love the way Glenda placed acetate over the front, which is also embossed. A very clever idea.

Birthday Cards

I received some beautiful cards for my birthday just recently so I thought I would share them all with you. May Card Challenge

Colours of Autumn The challenge for May is colours of Autumn. I love Autumn in the UK where I grew up, with all the crispy leaves on the ground and bare trees. I do miss that, as we just don't get it here in QLD (although I don't miss the cold LOL). So with that in mind, I thought it would make a good challenge...those gorgeous colours of autumn...oranges, yellows, greens and browns. It doesn't have to be an autumn themed card, just those colours. This one should take you out of your comfort zone and get you thinking :) TO ENTER: Simply make a card, scrapbooking page or other project following the theme and give it to me, email me a picture, or a link to your project.
