April Competition Winner

When I said I might keep you all in suspense for the weekend, I didn't really mean it...honest! As it turned out after class on Saturday I didn't have time to get on the computer to let you all know the winner. I'm so sorry :( But I took photos of all of the cards this morning and I can tell you that we actually had a 3 way tie. Card 10 by Pat and cards 14 & 16 by Rhonda all tied with 4 votes each. I couldn't decide between them (they are all so beautiful), so I got the 3 girls who were there at the draw on Saturday to help decide the winner.

May Card Challenge

Colours of Autumn The challenge for May is colours of Autumn. I love Autumn in the UK where I grew up, with all the crispy leaves on the ground and bare trees. I do miss that, as we just don't get it here in QLD (although I don't miss the cold LOL). So with that in mind, I thought it would make a good challenge...those gorgeous colours of autumn...oranges, yellows, greens and browns. Just for Mother's Day

I am miles behind with posting some of the cards we've been making so I'm going to try and make an effort to catch up over the next week or so. To start with here is a card we made for Mother's Day. I got the inspiration from the 3D picture, which I felt would look good as two separate components on the card. The one on the inside of the card is the base image and the one of the front is the rest of the image made up into a 3D. I also gave my students the option of making this a birthday card, for those who don't have a Mum anymore or who had already made a Mother's Day card. I printed the verses on the computer for the girls.
