June Challenge

The challenge for June was “All about the sentiment”. So that meant that the main focus of your card should be the sentiment. Again we had some gorgeous card entered and although not as many as other months it was still hard to pick a winner. The winner though was…. Pat Pat (Mum) made this lovely pink and brown metallic card with a lovely verse about a single rose. I love that she combined the verse with the one single rose on the card as well. Very clever!   This lovely card was made by Sue and got my vote for the encouragement award. Not only did Sue come a close second with this card, but all the flowers were beautifully hand made and I loved the sentiment.   Again so many gorgeous cards were entered though, so here are all the others. Thanks girls for giving it a go and well done to you all. Rhonda   Sue   Sue   Glenda   Rhonda   Jean   Maralene   Glenda   Lisa   Sue

May Challenge

My deepest apologies for taking so long to post these cards. I have been so busy lately and I just can’t find enough hours in the day to get everything done   Sadly that meant time on the computer to edit photos and post to the blog has taken a back seat to more important things – like stocktake. Did I ever tell you how much I hate doing stocktake??? One of life’s necessary evils! Anyway, without further ado here are the cards for the May challenge. The theme was autumn colours…not necessarily an autumn theme…but autumn colours. I have to say that I was really impressed with the ideas and cards that you all came up with. The winner for this challenge was Rhonda Rhonda made this beautiful easel card. Congratulations  Rhonda.   I picked Maralene’s card for the encouragement award. I was really impressed by the improvement in Maralene’s work and I knew how hard she’d worked to make the roses. Well done Maralene.   Here are all of the cards. Well done ...

May Card Challenge

Colours of Autumn   The challenge for May is colours of Autumn. I love Autumn in the UK where I grew up, with all the crispy leaves on the ground and bare trees. I do miss that, as we just don't get it here in QLD (although I don't miss the cold LOL). So with that in mind, I thought it would make a good challenge...those gorgeous colours of autumn...oranges, yellows, greens and browns. It doesn't have to be an autumn themed card, just those colours. This one should take you out of your comfort zone and get you thinking :) TO ENTER: Simply make a card, scrapbooking page or other project following the theme and give it to me, email me a picture, or a link to your project.   Competition closes at midnight on Tuesday 28th May Voting will commence on Wednesday 29th May and will finish Saturday 2nd June. The winner will be announced as soon as possible after that date         THE RULES: The rules are very simple and are as...
