July Competition

The theme this month is Christmas in July  In an effort to get yourselves (and myself) in the  mood to start making your Christmas cards early this year, the next competition will be Christmas in July. There are new products starting to be released with Christmas in mind, but how many of us have stacks of left over papers and cardstock from last Christmas? I bet we all have dies or embossing folders that we've not used yet too. You know you have!!! I know I have... ha ha. So come on, drag them out and see what you can make with them and what better way than to join in the competition. TO ENTER: Simply make a card, scrapbooking page or other project following the theme and give it to me, email me a picture or a link to your project. Competition closes at midnight on Tuesday 31st July Voting will commence on Wednesday 1st August and will finish Saturday 4th August The winner will be announced on Saturday 4th August (or as soon as possible af...

June Competition Winner

Hi everyone, sorry for the delay in announcing the winner of last months competition. I had a busy weekend and when I went to take photos of all the cards my camera's battery died. It's not one that I can just chuck new batteries in either...it has a rechargeable battery. So it takes hours to charge and I only just got back to taking the photos of the cards. For a while I was worried we weren't going to get many cards for this competition, but you all surprised me again! We had a lot of boy (blue) cards as well, but then at the last minute some pink cards for girls came in and we even had a green one! There were some gorgeous cards and it really is hard to choose just one winner. So many of you wanted to choose a 1st, 2nd & 3rd. But there can only be one winner....and I'm very pleased to announce that this time it was Rhonda Well done Rhonda...you finally got a win instead of 2nd place. Very well deserved too :) Here is Rhonda's winning card, whic...

May Competition Winner

Hi everyone, Just a real quick post as I have to go and pack for our camping trip this weekend. We're off to Casino, NSW for the archery State Of Origin shoot. As promised though, I am here quickly to announce the winner of the competition. It was close between two cards again and just one vote separated them. There's a saying that springs to mind "always the Bridesmaid, never the bride". That makes me think of how poor Rhonda must feel...yep you came in 2nd again Rhonda, with card 9. So close...again! The winner though was card 21 made by Glenda Congratulations Glenda. Your gift voucher will be available for you next time you come to visit the shop :) There were 22 awesome entries and again some really love cards. I will show them all to you in number order with the maker of each card. 1 - Pam The inside of Pam's card. 2 - Pat 3 - Dorothy 4 - Rhonda 5 - Sharon 6 - Jean 7 - Maralene ...

May competition

The theme this month is "BUTTERFLIES"  I am seeing butterflies everywhere at the moment...No I'm not seeing things...I really am seeing them in lots of products and cards lately. There are dies, papers, embossing folders, stickers...they seem to be everywhere. So I decided to make the theme for May "Butterflies". There are no shortage of products to use and lets face it...we all have something to do with butterflies in our collection of craft supplies, don't we?   Now don't forget the card needs to be your own design, a NEW design...not one you have entered in a competition before, and it must be hand made by you. TO ENTER: Simply make a card, scrapbooking page or other project following the theme and give it to me, email me a picture or a link to your project.   Competition closes at midnight on Thursday 31st May Voting will commence on Friday 1st June and will finish Wednesday 6th June The winner will be announced on T...
